Passive Bass Control for Strats

Here's my new Strat bass control wiring kit for your guitar.

With a few small alterations you could have the last tone control in your Strat converted to a passive bass roll off control.

With the help of my very clear wiring diagram you'll have to convert your middle tone pot to be a master tone control and then install the new bass control.

It's honestly very easy to install only swapping a few wires over.

Modern:

The most dramatic effect

From 10 to 5 the bass frequencies are rolled off gradually then from 5 to 0 the pickups are totally re-voiced!

Vintage:

A finely tuned useful tone range

From 10 down to 0 only the bass frequencies are targeted. This means that your original pickup high frequencies are left completely alone.

I use only the highest quality components - what the point in a tonal upgrade with crappy parts?

• Polypropylene capacitors (Just like Gibson bumblebee caps)
• Vintage cloth wiring

Reviews of the Bass control for Strat

"Hi Jack, your Bass Roll-Off control arrived last Saturday . It works and really adds to my guitar.

I've put it in my Aria Strat Copy on the very same day (the diagram really clear and was a great help)

It really adds to the guitar in making it possible to thin out the P90-sound. What I really like is that even at 1 or 2 the sounds are still usable and not too thin. IN addition it makes some combinations very usable that would hardly be usuable without it. This goes in particular for the middle/neck in series combination, which is very bassy - too bassy for the little speaker of my practice amp (Tech21 Trademark 10). But with your Bass Roll-Off it becomes very usable, not too bassy but still distinct from the middle/neck in parallel combination.

All in all I'm very satisfied with the sounds of the guitar. Thanks to your bass-rolloff I get P90s sounds and sounds that are more "strat-like".
